How is the bottle opener used?
The bottle opener is a metal tool used to open bottles by removing the crown cap. The principle of the bottle opener consists of a protrusion that is inserted into the base of the cap as a wedge and a handle with which a lever action is exerted to remove it.
The invention of the lever and its use in everyday life dates back to prehistoric times. The main use in the form of a lever, has been documented since the third millennium B.C. The oldest surviving manuscript with a mention of the lever is part of the mathematical collection of Pappus of Alexandria, from 340 B.C. It contains the famous quote by Archimedes: Give me a fulcrum and I will move the world.
